
As afirst-generation Ghanaian-American born and raised in New York City, Ericsources theflavors and influences in his cooking from many of the West Africandishes he grew up eating. Chef Eric has cooked in several Michelin-starredrestaurants in New York after graduating with degrees in culinary arts and nutritionfrom Johnson & Wales, one of the country’s premiere culinary universities. He alsoholds a Master of Public Health in International Public Health Nutrition from theUniversity of Westminster in London. He is busyfilming for Top Chef and FoodNetwork, appearing as a judge on shows like Chopped, Guy's Grocery Games,Supermarket Stakeout, and more. On top of partnering up with popular West-Africanfrozen food line AYO Foods, he is also penning hisfirst cookbook with ClarksonPotter. Eric has also paired up with Penguin Workshop to write a kids book thatexplores the culinary storylines of the African diaspora, peppered with kid-friendlyrecipes and visuals. Most recently, you can see Eric judging onThe Great Soul FoodCook-Off,hosting Food Network'sAlex vs. America, and competing on thenetwork's top showTournament of Champions.
